NCI Looking for Focus Group Participants
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Office of Education and Special Initiatives is looking for patients, health professionals and especially informal caregivers who are interested in participating in telephone focus groups and in-depth interviews which will occur in late September through October 2003.NCI is developing new education materials to address concerns that people with cancer and their families face throughout the course of the disease. They need to know what you believe is important to include in these materials. They are looking for:
- Patients: Who have recurrent or Stage III or Stage IV cancer
- Current informal caregivers: Family or friends who are providing care for someone in treatment for cancer
- Bereaved informal caregivers: Family members or friends who have provided care at end of life for someone who has died from cancer within the last 2 years
- Health professionals: Physicians, hospice workers, clergy, or psychologists who have worked with people with advanced cancer within the last 2 years.
