PAF’s Health Equity Team Is on The Move in Local Communities Nationwide

We are a founding member of the Memphis Breast Cancer Consortium (MBCC), supporting activities designed to educate African American women with breast cancer about resources to assist them along their cancer journey. We recently participated in the 2019 5th Annual LIVE! Memphis Summit with Shonta Chambers, our EVP of Health Equity Initiatives and Programs, facilitating a panel on cancer resources from screening to survivorship. This is a great display of what can happen when group of dedicated people are mobilized around a specific issue!

Our Health Equity initiatives address the association between health and the social, financial and logistical challenges that impact a person’s ability to access healthcare and adhere to treatment recommendations, particularly in disparate and underserved communities.
