PAF Receives GuideStar’s Platinum Nonprofit Rating

GuideStar Platinum Rating Allows Donors to Focus on Progress and Results

PAF has earned the Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency, the newest and highest level of recognition offered by the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. Guidestar’s platinum rating is meant to enable transparent reporting of an organization’s actual impact in the world beyond simplistic financial ratios.

“PAF has long been committed to programs that provide real and measurable impact in people’s lives and so it was exciting to see Guidestar’s new approach that allows impact reporting in a user-friendly and highly visual manner,” said PAF CEO Alan Balch, PhD. “PAF is now able to share a wealth of up-to-date organizational metrics on a much larger scale through this new program.”

To reach the Platinum level, PAF added extensive information to its Nonprofit Profile on GuideStar beyond just basic contact and organizational information and in-depth financial information to include qualitative information about goals, strategies, and capabilities as well as quantitative information about results and progress toward its mission.

“In 2017, we celebrated our twentieth fiscal year by serving our millionth patient, and it is only through the generous support of PAF’s mission that we can provide sustained assistance that results in measurable impact on the lives of patients and their families,” EVP of Corporate Communications, Beth Moore, adds. “I encourage you to visit PAF’s profile on GuideStar to see what we’re all about.”
